Alice Di Piazza started studying piano at the age of three. While still a student, she won several piano competitions and obtained a scholarship allowing her to perfect her skills at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She also studies in London with the pianist Enrique Arias, one of the last students of the great Chilean pianist, Claudio Arrau.

She could also benefit from the valuable advice of the pianists Krystian Zimerman, Wieslaw Szlachta and Maria Joao Pires.

She decided to devote herself also to the study of orchestral conducting, counterpoint, fugue and composition at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels.

Alice Di Piazza started performing in concerts from a very young age.

She made her debut at the age of twelve with a solo recital at the Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Messina (Italy).

Following the success of her concerts at the Gewandhaus concert hall in Leipzig, where she performed with the Gewandhausorchester under de conducting of Michael Sanderling, Alice was directly engaged to record for Deutsche Grammophone with the Gewandhausorchester and Andris Nelson.

Also present on various radio and television channels, Alice Di Piazza was featured among others on Rai 3 (Italy), LRT (Lithuania), Radio Classique (France), RTS, Espace 2 and Canal Alpha (Switzerland)

Alice Di Piazza often collaborates with contemporary composers. Several compositions, which she has created, are also dedicated to her.

In 2011, she met the Russian composer Sofia Gubaidulina with whom she began intense deepening work on the interpretation of her music.

Depuis plusieurs années, elle est invitée à collaborer avec des chefs d’orchestre prestigieux tels que  Andris Nelson, Felix Korobov, Michael Sanderling, Andres Mustonen, Baldur Brönnimann,  Daniel Doods, Alexander Mayer,  Jean Paul Dessy et bien d’autres.

Alice Di Piazza a commencé ses études de piano à l’âge de trois ans. Encore étudiante elle remporte plusieurs concours de piano et obtient une bourse d’étude lui permettant de se perfectionner à la London Royal Academy of Music. Elle étudie, également à Londres, avec le pianiste Enrique Arias, l’un des derniers élèves du pianiste chilien Claudio Arrau.

Par la suite, elle a entamé un intense travail de perfectionnement avec les pianistes polonaises Krystian Zimerman et Wieslaw Szlachta, tout en bénéficiant aussi de précieux conseils de la part des pianistes Maria Joao Pires et Murray Perahia. Elle décide également de se consacrer à l’étude de la direction d’orchestre, du contrepoint, de la fugue et de la composition au Conservatoire Royal de Musique de Bruxelles.

Alice Di Piazza commence à se produire en concert dès son plus jeune âge. Elle fait ses débuts à l’âge de douze ans avec un récital au Teatro Vittorio Emanuele de Messina (IT).

Alice collabore souvent avec des compositeurs contemporains. Plusieurs compositions, dont elle a assuré la création, lui sont d’ailleurs dédicacées.

Ainsi, en 2011, elle rencontre la compositrice russe Sofia Gubaidulina avec laquelle elle entame un intense travail d’approfondissement portant sur l’interprétation de sa musique.

Alice Di Piazza ha iniziato a studiare pianoforte all’età di tre anni.

Ancora studentessa, ha vinto diversi concorsi pianistici e ha ottenuto una borsa di studio che le ha permesso di perfezionarsi alla Royal Academy of Music di Londra. A Londra si perfeziona con il pianista Enrique Arias, uno degli ultimi allievi del pianista cileno Claudio Arrau e del pianista italiano Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli.

In seguito, ha continuato a perfezionarsi con i pianisti Krystian Zimerman e Wieslaw Szlachta,  beneficiando inoltre dei preziosi consigli dei pianisti Maria Joao Pires e Murray Perahia.

Senza mai perdere di vista la sua formazione pianistica, ha ampliato i suoi orizzonti dedicandosi allo studio del contrappunto e della fuga, della direzione d’orchestra e della composizione.

All’età di dodici anni esordì come solista al teatro “Vittorio Emanuele” di Messina con un repertorio dedicato a Robert Schumann.

I suoi concerti hanno sempre ricevuto un’accoglienza entusiastica dalla stampa internazionale.

In seguito al successo dei suoi concerti alla Gewandhaus concert hall di Lipsia, dove si è esibita con la Gewandhausorchester diretta da Michael Sanderling, Alice è stata ingaggiata per registrare per la Deutsche Grammophone con la Gewandhausorchester e Andris Nelson.

Suoi concerti ed interviste sono stati trasmessi dalla Radiotelevisione Italiana RAI 3, dalla Radio Nazionale Lituana, dalla RadioTelevisione Svizzera RTS  e Espace2.

Alice Di Piazza collabora con diversi compositori contemporanei, le cui opere, spesso dedicate a lei, sono state da lei presentate in World Premiere.

Nel 2011 ha incontrato la compositrice russa Sofia Gubaidulina, con la quale ha iniziato un’intensa collaborazione artistica.

Di Alice, Gubaidulina ha scritto “Il talento creativo ed originale di Alice nasce dalla combinazione di perfezione tecnica e virtuosismo espressivo. A tutto questo si accompagna una attenta ricerca di significati ed una non comune forza di volontà. Posso dire, senza esagerare, che abbiamo a che fare con una artista dotata di un grande talento ».

Dal 2013, Alice suona in duo col celebre violoncellista russo Ivan Monighetti. I loro concerti hanno suscitato grande interesse tra il pubblico e in ambito di critica musicale.

Alice Di Piazza begann im Alter von drei Jahren mit dem Klavierunterricht. Noch während ihrer Ausbildung gewann sie mehrere Wettbewerbe und erhielt ein Stipendium, das ihr die Zulassung an der Royal Academy of Music in London ermöglichte. Außerdem nimmt sie Unterricht bei dem Pianisten Enrique Arias in London, einem der letzten Schüler des großen chilenischen Pianisten Claudio Arrau.

Danach perfektionierte sie ihre Fähigkeiten bei den international renommierten Pianisten Krystian Zimerman und Wieslaw Szlachta und profitierte dabei von den wertvollen Ratschlägen der Pianisten Maria João Pires und Murray Perahia.

Während sie ihre Solokarriere als Konzertpianistin fortsetzte, beschloss sie, sich dem Studium der Orchesterleitung, des Kontrapunkts, der Fuge und der Komposition am Königlichen Konservatorium von Brüssel zu widmen.

Alice Di Piazza begann schon in sehr jungen Jahren in Konzerten aufzutreten. Ihr Debüt gab sie im Alter von zwölf Jahren mit einem Klavierabend am Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Messina (Italien).
