02 Mai Alice Di Piazza at the Gewandhaus – Leipzig

In September 2020 Alice was invited to give three concerts at the Gewandhaus concert hall in Leipzig.

She performed with the Gewandhausorchester under the direction of Michael Sanderling.

At the gewandhaus Alice gave the German première of the new version of the concerto for piano and orchestra Introitus, born from the intense collaboration between the pianist and Sofia Gubalidulina Alice’s concerts in Leipzig have been enthusiastically acclaimed by critics and the public.

Following the success of these performances in Leipzig, she was engaged to record with the Gewandhausorchester under the direction of Andris Nelson.
